Chadron State Park
Dubbed Nebraska's 1st & oldest state park ๐๏ธ in 1921, Chadron State Park has several buttes and scenic overlooks along it's many hiking ๐ฅพ trails. Located within the Nebraska National Forest in the Northwest corner of the State, Chadron State Park was hit with a dangerous forest fire ๐ฒ๐ฅ in 2012 which destroyed 90% of its infrastructure (trees, grass, rockscapes, etc...) The Park has made a 100% recovery since but the evidence of the fire can still be seen for miles with some of its bare trees.
