Chadron State Park
Dubbed Nebraska's 1st & oldest state park 🏞️ in 1921, Chadron State Park has several buttes and scenic overlooks along it's many hiking 🥾 trails. Located within the Nebraska National Forest in the Northwest corner of the State, Chadron State Park was hit with a dangerous forest fire 🌲🔥 in 2012 which destroyed 90% of its infrastructure (trees, grass, rockscapes, etc...) The Park has made a 100% recovery since but the evidence of the fire can still be seen for miles with some of its bare trees.
